Montu
War is hell. Or if you're an ancient Egyptian, war is a giant bird-headed dude with a big scimitar, named Montu. If that isn't sufficiently scary, though, check this: Montu can turn himself into a bull when he's angry. So whatever you do, don't make him angry.

Even the bad guys in a battle have a story to tell. I've read the Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien a bunch of times. It's all about the war scenes—those battles are epic. The Art of War by Sun Tzu. This guy knows what he's talking about. World Peace and Other 4th-Grade Achievements by John Hunter. You've got to know peace if you want war to be worth it. The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Warfare by DK Publishing. So much boom in one book. Warrior: A Visual History of the Fighting Man by R. G. Grant.
