Virginia Doyle a.k.a. Mary Dowd a.k.a. Gemma's Mom

Gemma's mom is the bomb. Not only is she open-minded and lets Gemma figure things out for herself, but she also is pretty, charming, and smart. Gemma wouldn't listen to her at all when she was still alive, but now that she's dead and no longer controls so much of Gemma's life, she is the only person Gemma longs to consult about everything. And Virginia has some good advice and opinions—she is the person who gives Gemma all sorts of useful information and guidance, especially when it comes to magic.
