Character Role Analysis

Alan Clay/Ron Clay

Alan and Ron are like water and oil—never mind that they're father and son. Ron detests everything that his son has ever done or perhaps even stands for. Alan feels like his father is everything he never wants to be in life. In some ways, it's a stereotypical parent-child relationship.

But for Alan, it feels like the biggest existential battle of his life. How can a father dislike his son so much?
