The Hunter

Dude's toting a bag of dead birds and a gun, which are major hints we have a bad guy on our hands. And sure enough, we do. The hunter puts voice to all the things that have the potential to hold Phoenix back: age, race, distance of her journey, and the possibility of running into danger or violence. For Phoenix, the worst thing in the world would be giving up on her task and quitting on her grandson, and the hunter encourages her time and again to do just that. What a jerk.
