Strange Syntax
Sure, we usually think of E.E. Cummings as the guy who never capitalizes anything, but his inventiveness extends way beyond just refusing to use the shift button. The sorts of inversions that go on in "All in green" land us right back in the golden days of yore, when gods and goddesses were just as likely to be out hunting as mere mortals. Cummings might not always write about the stuff of legend, but he does always push the envelope when it comes to syntactical structure. We bet he drove his teachers crazy.
