Rise Davis Timeline and Summary

  • Back in the good old days, Rise and Jesse were best friends. Rise has been acting weird lately, though, missing school and getting into trouble.
  • At a meeting of the Counts, Rise tells everyone he's thinking about supporting Mason by roughing up the shop owner who accused Mason of robbery. Everyone is shocked.
  • Later, Rise tells Jesse that he's not going to support Mason after all. Then Rise asks Jesse to create a book about his life. He's sort of bigheaded about it.
  • Rise and Jesse go visit Mason in jail. When Mason threatens Rise, Rise seems scared, though he won't admit it.
  • Rise tells Jesse he's thinking about dealing drugs. Jesse's shocked because Rise used to hate drugs; when Jesse isn't immediately supportive, Rise accuses him of being a bad friend.
  • Rise invites Jesse to come meet some new people. It's clear from the sketchy characters who are lurking around that he's becoming more involved in crime.
  • Rise tells Jesse that he's arranged a meeting between the Diablos and the Counts to discuss turf.
  • At the meeting, Rise says they're calling off the turf war—meanwhile, however, he's secretly arranged to have a bunch of the Diablos killed at another location. The meeting is just so he can have an alibi.
  • The police take Rise in for questioning. They know what he did, but they can't prove it, so they let him go after a week or so.
  • Feeling stressed about the possibility of getting shot in retaliation for what he's done, Rise decides to get out of Dodge. He calls Jesse and says he wants to say goodbye before he leaves for Florida.
  • Rise rolls up in a stretch limo to say his goodbyes. He's clearly very pleased with himself… until Little Man appears out of nowhere and shoots him.
  • Rise cries and tells Jesse how scared he is, and then he dies in Jesse's arms.
