- Cadmus, along with his wife, will be turned into a snake. He will drive a chariot and lead barbarian hordes to attack lots of Greek cities.
- Agave begs for mercy.
- Dionysus shows none and tells her she is banished from the city.
- Cadmus laments his terrible fate.
- He tells his banished daughter to go the house Aristaeus, his sister's husband.
- Sadly, Cadmus and Agave part ways.
- The Chorus sings of the power of the gods.
