(7) Snow Line
Emily Dickinson is usually up there in the Tough-O-Meter because of her unusual syntax that's coupled with equally unusual ideas. For this one, we're forced to really think outside the box and consider that mysterious light in ways that aren't necessarily anchored down for us in neat definitions. We may have to read it a few times, but once we do, we're able to really sense the speaker's emotions that help to capture some of that light's mystery.
