Vanessa

Vanessa is the love of Wade's life. His devotion to her is the catalyst for the film's plot. Well, that and a terminal cancer diagnosis, we suppose, but if not for Vanessa, it's unlikely that Wade would've taken the Weapon X recruiter up on his offer. His entire revenge plan for Ajax is based on getting his face fixed so Vanessa will take him back. When it comes right down to it, there isn't a whole lot to Vanessa as a character, personality-wise, but Wade's interest in her makes her gas on the plot fire.
