Elesin

Elesin is most definitely the tragic hero of this piece. He starts out with super high hopes and ambition, gladly—at least on the outside—accepting his fate. But he ends up completely disgraced and imprisoned, and ultimately winds up dead by his own hand. Although there's a lot of focus on the whole ensemble cast, Elesin's story and trials are definitely at the heart of it all.
