  • James Bond gambles with money and a lady's heart before traveling to Jamaica on a mission from MI6.
  • He's to find out what happened to missing agent Strangways.
  • Bond immediately finds himself in trouble when his driver tries to kill him.
  • Bond survives, and starts to investigate those closest to Strangways, like geologist Professor Dent.
  • He soon enlists the help of Quarrel, a fisherman, and is assisted by Felix Leiter, a CIA agent.
  • Dent says he analyzed some samples of rock from Crab Key for Strangways, but they were fool's gold.
  • Bond is no fool. He analyzes Quarrel's boat and finds evidence of radioactivity from the samples.
