This book is written for teens, so there aren't a lot of stylistic surprises. Sure, Lauren Kate throws in a few Words with Friends-worthy vocab, but there's nothing so complicated that we would need a dictionary to look it up. This story sits comfortably in the range of other bestselling YA novels, so if you enjoyed Twilight, The Hunger Games, and Beautiful Creatures, you'll be fine.
