Cameron Frye

His name may not be in the title of the movie, but who cares? Cameron is the emotional center of the movie. The narrative is Cameron's coming of age story, charting his evolution from a scared, insecure hypochondriac to a self-possessed young man who's prepared to stand up to his emotionally distant dad. He may spend much of the film's titular day off saying he wants to go home, but by the end of the day he's the one that's grown the most. Gone is the kid so paralyzed by indecision that he can't leave the house; in his place is a dude so confident he's ready to take the heat for a totaled Ferrari.
