Dory

Dory isn't the smartest fish in the sea, but she's clearly a mentor to Marlin. After all, he meets up with her as he's starting on a big journey and she helps him along the way. (She reads human and speaks whale? Impressive.)

In the end, Dory's the one who helps Marlin realize how his overprotective vibe pushed his son away from him. Dory might not be a genius, but she sure is good at helping other fish grow and change.
