The Gun Bearers, the Native Boys, and Others

Character Analysis

There are a ton of tiny characters who populate the pages of this story, but to be honest, they don't serve much of a purpose beyond service. They are there to help the hunt, cook the food, and provide Wilson the occasional opportunity to flex his Swahili-speaking muscles. This is colonial Kenya, after all, and we can't imagine that the affluent Westerners saw these people as much more than their own personal servants.
