Kate doesn't have much to do other than hold Gizmo and push a few buttons at the end. We do admire her bravery in scaring away the gremlins with the Polaroid flash, but what was she doing serving them in the bar in the first place?

Kate mainly exists to fulfill the girl-next-door fantasy…which she does when Billy asks her out and kisses her. Will they still be together in the sequel?
