The title of the story is also the name of the character who tries—and fails—to change the society in which he lives. It sounds like a great title, but it really doesn't tell you anything about the story. It's like if To Kill a Mockingbird were titled Scout Finch. Thanks for nothing, Kurt!
Okay here's something interesting—Harrison's name is symmetrical. Both Harrison and Bergeron are three syllables, nine letters, and end in -on. Nature thinks symmetry is pretty cool, and people like it too. We tend to see symmetry as a sign of beauty and perfection. And beauty and perfection are things that Harrison's society hates.
