Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe)’s Timeline and Summary

  • Harry is finishing up his last summer at the Dursleys' house, and the Order of the Phoenix has been charged with getting him transferred to a new safe location safely.
  • Things don't go according to plan, though: the Death Eaters have been tipped off about when Harry's leaving, and so they're waiting when the Order and Harry take to the skies. Despite all that, Harry makes it to the Burrow safely, after his wand somehow manages to beat Voldemort's in a weird aerial wand duel. For those keeping score, that's the second time Harry's wand as beaten Voldemort's.
  • Once back at the Burrow, Harry is super upset to find out that Mad-Eye died during the transport, and so he considers leaving everyone to go hunt for Horcruxes alone. He's tired of people dying for him.
  • Ron talks him down, and he sticks around the Burrow to attend Bill and Fleur's wedding.
  • That event doesn't end up being as festive as everyone had hoped, though. They get word in the middle of the party that the Ministry of Magic has fallen, which means that all the protections over the Burrow that have been shielding Harry and the others from Death Eaters are kaput. So he, Ron, and Hermione go into hiding right away.
  • They then travel around trying to find the real version of the fake Horcrux Harry and Dumbledore found at the end of the last movie.
  • They finally find and steal it, but they have no idea how to destroy it. Ron gets fed up with the lack of progress toward their goals and leaves.
  • Harry and Hermione go to Godric's Hollow (where he and Dumbledore were both born) to try to get answers from a magical historian named Bathilda Bagshot, but Bathilda turns out to be a corpse with Voldemort's snake inside.
  • Hermione and Harry are lucky to escape with their lives (but Harry's wand breaks in the process).
  • Things improve, though, when Harry sees a silver doe one night that leads him right to the sword of Gryffindor, which will definitely destroy Horcruxes.
  • He has some trouble getting it (the Horcrux around his neck tries to strangle him), but Ron comes back and finds him just in time to save him and get the sword.
  • Once Ron has destroyed the Horcrux, they're all feeling a little better about life. At Hermione's prompting, they go visit Xenophilius Lovegood to get some details about a weird symbol that has been popping up a lot.
  • Unfortunately, while they're on their visit, Lovegood summons the Death Eaters (he's hoping they'll return his daughter to him in exchange for Harry).
  • Luckily, Harry and the others escape in time.
  • Unluckily, they run right into a band of "Snatchers" who take the gang to Malfoy Manor (aka Voldemort's headquarters). Voldemort isn't there, but Bellatrix Lestrange and the others are definitely thinking of calling him, if they can confirm that Harry is indeed Harry Potter.
  • You see, Hermione cast a spell on him to swell his face up, which causes just enough doubt to delay calling the Dark Lord.
  • While Bellatrix and the others are sorting that out (and trying to figure out how the kids got their hands on the sword of Gryffindor, which is supposed to be in Bella's vault), Harry summons help through a shard of magic mirror he's been carrying around and manages to get them all out of there.
