Ariadne (Ellen Page)’s Timeline and Summary
- Ariadne is introduced to Cobb by her professor (and Cobb's father-in-law) Miles—that's Professor Miles to you.
- She passes Cobb's architect test but when she is exploring the dream world she starts changing lots of things, which draws attention to her.
- Then Mal shows up and pulls out a short sword and stabs her in the gut. Ouch.
- She leaves but, as Cobb predicts, the pull of the dream world is too much for her to resist. She comes back and trains with Arthur, leaning about how to use architecture to her advantage when she creates dream spaces.
- She was never supposed to enter the actual dream with them but after she enters Cobb's dreams of Mal she becomes very worried for the team so she decides to go in.
- On the first level she drives around with Cobb and basically just follows the others.
- She does the same thing on the second level. She's mostly just along for the ride at this point.
- In the third level she urges Cobb to shoot Mal before she kills Fischer, which he fails to do.
- When they go down to the safe room with the dead Fischer and dying Saito, it is Ariadne's idea to travel into Limbo themselves where time will be ultra-slow, in order to save Fischer and kick him back to Level #3.
- When she and Cobb go down, Ariadne helps him confront his wife as a mere projection of her former self. She drops Fischer and herself off the top of a building… but not before making Cobb promise to not lose himself and find Saito.
- Then she's kicked back to the top with the rest of them and wakes up on the plane.
