• Escaping class to go outside and gossip, she sees Trina brush by Dominique in the hallway and overhears Dominique's intent to beat Trina up after school.
• Leticia calls Bea, who tells her to say something to Trina, but Leticia refuses.
• In English class, Leticia answers one question so she can sit back and do nothing.
• In French class, Leticia blames the school (not herself) for putting her in French, which she hates because it is hard and her teacher expects her to work.
• During a passing period, Leticia hears James Brown and thinks she should just mind her own business.
• She goes to see a guidance counselor to see if she can change her French class to Spanish; she can't.
• In gym, Leticia breaks her nail and demands action from the teacher and assistant principal.
• When she doesn't get what she wants, she calls her parents. And guess what? Her father gives in to her demands.
• At lunch, Leticia sees Trina and Dominique and decides not to tell Trina about the attack; she ignores Bea's texts to do something.
