Sugar-Boy O'Sheean
Sugar-Boy is Willie's driver and bodyguard. He loves three things: driving fast, shooting his gun, and the Boss. He got his name because he keeps a supply of sugar cubes in his pockets, which he sucks on throughout the day. Sugar-Boy is under 30 years old (in 1936) and barely five feet tall. He has an intense stutter, and is constantly calling everyone else on the road a "b-b-b-b-bastud." As we said, he is completely devoted to Willie. He shoots Adam Stanton just as Adam is firing at the Boss, just a second too late to stop Adam's shot.
