Joey Rosenberg
Real Name: Sandy Jacobs
An odd character; this "young kid from Oregon" used to be a famous athlete and has now decided "to become some sort of beat Jesus." Jack comes to realize that Joey Rosenberg is Jesus. He finds him to be an interesting kid as he represents "one of the new Beat Dandies," kids who dress up in nice clothes but want to be like Kerouac and the others. Jack believes Joey has faith, and that he (Jack) should take a lesson in faith from him.
