We know little about Max's mother other than that she eventually had to sell the family music studio and move in with a brother after Erik's death. She saves the piece of paper with Hans' name and address on it for all those years, and gives it to her son, Max, during Kristallnacht. Max's mother disappears with the rest of the family while Max is in hiding.
