Ghoul

• Ghouls may be kind of gross and/or ugly, but they're not especially dangerous. They're kind of look like ogres, but the worse they'll do is just growl or throw stuff around. 
• Muggles don't much like them, but wizards sometimes end up letting them stay around as family pets.
• (Harry Potter book shout out: In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Ron and his family transfigure their family ghoul to look more like Ron suffering from a very bad case of Spattergroit so the real Ron can go hunt for horcruxes with Harry and Hermione.)

Glumbumble

• This insect makes a sweet and sad syrup that counteracts that hysteria that comes over you when you eat Alihotsy. That's handy.
• It's pretty bad if Glumbumbles infest an actual beehive, but otherwise they just nest in dark and secluded places and keep to themselves.

Gnome

• Gnomes are common garden pests. The only way to get rid of them is by picking them up, swinging them in circles until they're dizzy, and then flinging them over the garden wall. Adios, gnomes!
• (Try that with the Travelocity Gnome and see what happens.)
• (Harry Potter book shout out: Harry helps the Weasley family de-gnome their garden in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Luna Lovegood gets bitten by a gnome in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and her father tells her gnome salvia is beneficial.)

Graphorn

• Graphorns have two long sharp horns and hang out in mountain regions.
• Trolls often try to ride them…and often get covered in Graphorn scars.

Griffin

• These creatures have the front legs and head of an eagle and the hind legs of a lion. Now that's a deadly combination.
• Griffins are pretty fierce and also good at guarding treasure (just like sphinxes).

Grindylow

• This horned, green water demon lives in lakes and doesn't much like wizards or Muggles.
• It's okay with merpeople though, and they've been able to domesticate it over the years. 
• (Harry Potter book shout out: Professor Lupin orders a Grindylow for class in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The Triwizard Champions are attacked by Grindylows in the Black Lake at Hogwarts during the second task of the tournament in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire).
