Pigwidgeon in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

By J.K. Rowling

To make up to Ron for having lost his rat, Scabbers (who turns out to have been Wormtail in hiding), during Book 3, Sirius sends Ron a tiny little owl. Ginny names the owl Pigwidgeon – Pig for short. Pig is extremely enthusiastic, but he's also a bit scatterbrained. (We should also note that "Pigwidgeon" is an old slang term for anything small (source), which certainly describes Pig the owl.)
