Kat has a nightmare about her dead mother abandoning her. Eek. We're no dream experts, but this sounds like mondo anxiety manifesting itself up in here.
When Kat wakes up and stumbles downstairs, she finds Hale and Gabrielle coaching Nick in the art of the conistry... er, the artistry of the con.
They need Nick to call Wainwright because Wainright would recognize Hale's voice, given that the two had that chat the other day.
Nick calls Wainwright and tells him there's a defect in the furnace that will need to be fixed, and they can send a crew out on Monday.
Looks like the plan is set in motion.
