Chapter 24

Fang and Nudge find themselves surrounded by ferruginous hawk nests, a.k.a. the homes of some of the biggest, baddest birds on the planet. They both stay quiet as the hawks survey them.
Slowly, Fang extends his wings and the hawks turn to stare at him. He's letting them catch his scent, and eventually they relax and go back to whatever they're doing.
After the fear subsides, Fang and Nudge grin at each other; it's pretty awesome to be surrounded by all these huge, majestic birds.
