Angel stares at Jeb Batchelder, trying to figure out what is going on. She thinks for a moment that he might be here to save her, but she can't know for certain because she literally cannot read his thoughts—which something that's never happened to her before.
She also notices that he's in a white lab coat, which can only mean one thing: Jeb works for the School again.
Angel is furious. She has no idea what to do, or how Max is going to react when she finds out that Jeb is a white coat—Max considered him a father.
Jeb tries to tell her that it's okay, and that he's not a bad guy, but Angel's not hearing it and says that she hates him.
