The Mrs. Jakins

Bob’s mother and his wife live with Bob in his small house near the river. The Mrs. Jakins are very friendly women and they are as fond of the Tulliver kids, especially Maggie, as Bob is. In fact, Bob and his wife, Prissy, name their daughter after Maggie. Bob’s wife often seems in awe of Maggie and is a relatively timid person. The Jakins have a happy home and family life overall, and they share there home on multiple occasions with both Tom and Maggie.
