The Orange Houses Chapter 29

FATIMA

• Outside the courthouse, five days before the hanging, the girls wait for Jimmi to come out—Fatima doesn't want to get any closer in case there are cops around.
• When Jimmi sees them, he asks what they're up to, and Fatima explains that Mik's helping teach the kids at the hospital, and she's great at it, too.
• They beg Jimmi to let them take him back there, but it's no use.
• He's not interested in being drugged up and told everything's going to be okay. It's all lies.
• Jimmi rushes off, and Mik asks Fatima if she's okay.
• Um, not really, but she guesses she'll just have to be.
