• At Mik's school, the day of the hanging, Fatima shows up to walk her friend to the VA hospital.
• Only when she gets there, Mik is nowhere to be found; she hears from the secretary that Mik left already.
• Fatima tries calling Mik's phone, but no one answers.
• She's worried since she's supposed to teach with Mik today, so she hurries to the VA hospital.
