Or should we say prison camp? No, prison camp would probably be at least an 8 or 9 on the Tough-O-Meter, and we'd much rather read this book, or any book, than have to go through a series of humiliating strip searches and eat all that gross prison food. Piper Kerman tells a story that's sometimes difficult to digest (like that prison food), but vocabulary-wise is an easy, short read. You can finish this book in less time than it takes to marathon a season of the television show.
