Through the window, Margo Roth Spiegelman tells Quentin that she needs eleven things tonight "and at least five of them involve a getaway man" (1.2.9).
Quentin refuses to help, and while Margo is trying to convince him, her dad (Mr. Roth Spiegelman) yells at her from next door.
"Back in a minute" (1.2.27), she tells Quentin, and hops out the window.
Quentin decides to help her anyway, and he gets the keys to the minivan.
They roll out into the neighborhood, and Margo says their first stop is grocery shopping.
"This is going to be the best night of your life" (1.2.53), she says, because she's about to fulfill every teen's dream: grocery shopping in the middle of the night.
