Fishermen

A trio of fishermen finds Pericles when he washes up on the shore of Pentapolis. Even though they're lower-class characters, they're pretty wise and very kind—unlike the lower-class characters we meet in the brothel scenes.

When Pericles runs into them, they get all philosophical about how powerful people take advantage of the less fortunate... kind of like how all the big fish gobble up the little fish in the ocean. That's right, folks: these Fishermen love metaphors. We talk about it more in our "Symbols" section.
