Helicanus

This dude is Pericles's trusted advisor and friend. When Pericles has to flee his kingdom because Antiochus is trying to murder him, Helicanus advises him to travel abroad until things calm down. When Pericles puts him in charge of ruling Tyre in his absence, Helicanus remains completely loyal and devoted. After the lords of Tyre get impatient with Pericles's long absence, they offer to make Helicanus their new ruler. But Helicanus refuses and even convinces the other men to wait another year for Pericles to return home.
