The Maze Runner Chapter 26

By James Dashner

Chapter 26

  • While Thomas continues to struggle with keeping his mouth shut, the other Keepers agree that even though Minho shouldn't have tackled Gally, Gally is whacked out and needs to be put in the Slammer for threatening to kill them.
  • Winston, however, thinks that Gally has a point. He's been through the Changing, and so maybe he knows something that they don't about Thomas.
  • Thomas finally gets to defend himself and basically says YOLO. He saw two kids who needed help, the rules be damned.
  • Newt makes a ruling that Thomas has to spend one day in the Slammer, but afterward he will begin Runner training immediately.
  • After the meeting adjourns, Thomas asks Minho why he nominated him as the Keeper of the Runners, and Minho admits that he aimed high so he could hit low.
  • Then, Chuck finds Thomas and tells him that Alby has been asking for him.
