WICKED in The Scorch Trials

WICKED is the group that is in charge of the whole Maze and Scorch Trials experiments. They claim that their intentions with the kids are to save the human race, but we can't trust them just because Teresa says they're good. Ava Paige, the Chancellor of WICKED, also leaves a memorandum that hints that WICKED is trying to save the world, but these people still seem very unethical.

Basically, we have no idea what to think of these people.

When Thomas gets saved by WICKED after he's been shot, he overhears a medical technician for WICKED saying: "I mean, good Lord, how much can these kids take before they'll go crazy on their own?" (35.34). This makes it seem as if the members of WICKED do have morals—but still, these trials and experiments appear to be crazy. Kids are dying, and WICKED isn't stopping them from dying.

As another technician says: "Still. We're not God" (35.37). Uh, well, WICKED certainly plays God. The big question is… are they Good?
