Pittencream in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Pittencream

Pittencream is one of the crew members on the Dawn Treader. He is not mentioned specifically by name until the ship reaches Ramandu's Island, where he is the only sailor who does not go with Caspian to the eastern edge of the world. We learn that he ends up retiring to Calormen and telling lies about his adventures, which he comes to believe himself. Sadly deluded, Pittencream is an example of someone who allows his fears to prevent him from developing as a person.
