Captain Metropolis (Nelson Gardner)

The ultimate team player, this former marine is the founder of both the original Minutemen and the later, short-lived Crimebusters. Thought to die in a car crash in 1974, there is some evidence that he and his lover Hooded Justice fake their deaths so they can live in peace (I.25.4). Captain Metropolis means well, but the Comedian considers him lamer than lame and super old-fashioned. For example, the Captain’s views on race and politics are narrow-minded, which does make him somewhat of a hypocrite.
