Character Role Analysis

Roger and Adam

Who doesn't love a good love triangle? A Mango-Shaped Space serves us one classic example of a gal caught between two guys. On one side we have Roger, a caring, compassionate, dedicated guy who loves dogs and running. Then there's bad-boy Adam. He encourages Mia to lie to her parents to get what she wants, and even regales her with tales of him doing the same. Now we love a good bad-boy, but we can also see that Roger really cares about Mia in a way that Adam just doesn't. In the end, it's up to Mia to figure out which guy is best for her.
