An American in Paris Shock Rating

Shock Rating

G

An American in Paris was released in 1951, before the film-rating system that we're familiar with today was created. Its suggested modern rating is G, meaning it's a film you can enjoy with just about everybody: your mom, your great-grandpa, your little brother, your mail carrier. The love triangle at the center of the film will probably go over your little brother's head, but there's still more than enough singing and dancing to keep him entertained.
