• Back in France, two men are talking in subtitled French about how they'll need to alter a boat and how many men they'll need for the journey.
• A Lincoln drives up a coastal Versailles road to a seaside mansion. The man from the wharf gets out of the car and greets his young wife, present in hand.
• She opens it—it's a camera—and goes off to retrieve the day's shopping: a fur-collared wool trench coat for him. They giggle together in the pretty scenery.
