In the Hogwarts greenhouse, Professor Sprout is showing the second-years how to re-pot baby Mandrakes.
Their cries may be deadly, but their venom can revive someone who's been petrified. Thanks for that info, Hermione.
Later, in the Great Hall, Ron is trying to tape his wand, but it's hopelessly broke.
Just then, he gets a letter delivered by owl. It's red and everyone starts saying it's "a howler."
When Ron opens it, the letter takes the shape of a mouth and starts yelling at him in Mrs. Weasley's voice about how wrong he was to take the car and fly off to school.
Guess that letter home from Professor McGonagall was pretty effective after all.
