Harry heads back into Hogwarts, where the survivors are trying to recover from all the drama.
Harry gets some friendly looks as he passes, and a hug from Hagrid.
He is reunited with Ron and Hermione, and they walk outside together.
Hermione then asks the question that has been on all our minds (right?): Why didn't the Elder Wand work for Voldemort?
Harry explains that while Voldemort thought the wand answered to Snape, it really answered to Draco (because Draco had disarmed Dumbledore right before his death). . .until the other night, when Harry disarmed Draco.
Even though Harry won a different wand from Draco, that whole thing changed the Elder Wand's allegiance.
Ron asks what they should do with the most powerful wand in the world, clearly enticed by having all that power. Harry destroys it.
