Hagrid leaves Harry at King's Cross train station, instructing him to go to Platform 9 3/4.
Harry runs into the Weasleys, who help him get through the wall between 9 and 10 where he discovers The Hogwarts Express.
On the train, the Weasley's youngest son—Ron—and Harry quickly bond over sugar and story swapping.
Hermione Granger appears, trying to help find a toad.
She demonstrates her talent by magically repairing Harry's glasses.
The Hogwarts Express arrives at its destination, and we're transported straight into another world where children go to school in a castle on the edge of a lake.
Professor McGonagall meets the first-year students and delivers some juicy exposition. Rivalries and allegiances are quickly established, and the kids are escorted into the great hall for sorting into their Houses.
After some tense hemming and hawing from the magical Sorting Hat, Harry's sorted into Gryffindor House and takes his place next to Ron and Hermione.
The feast begins and we continue to learn about the people and culture of Hogwarts.
Afterwards, the kids are escorted to the Gryffindor common room, and finally to their own dormitories.
