• An old Japanese man (named Saito) is told of this new stranger, who has asked for him by name. He is dismissive until he sees a fairly plain-looking toy top.
• When our stranger comes in, the old man asks him if he is here to kill him. The old man also says he has seen the top before in a "half-remembered dream."
