The Husband's Back… and Then There's a War

• Karen meets Bror on the road; Karen expresses the desire to have children.
• Kikuyu tribespeople are arriving for medical care, and she tends to their needs.
• War is declared (WWI), and the colonials organize.
• Denys and Berkeley discuss the realities of the war intruding upon their lives.
• The war's just another excuse for Bror to leave Karen alone on the farm again.
