Just Say No to Dove

No one dresses up as Requiem for a Dream characters for Halloween, either because not enough grandmas do cosplay (a shame, really) or because cutting off your own arm for a costume is going a wee bit too far.

But one person who's a huge fan of Requiem for a Dream works in Dove's marketing department. (Dove the makers of soap-like soap products, not the makers of soap-like chocolate.) In 2008, Dove's "Go Fresh" marketing campaign featured a woman who was really excited about her body wash. The style of the ad, especially the dilated pupils, mimics Aronofsky's technique when he shows his characters getting high. (Source)
