Scene 15

Scene 15

  • The doctor and his creature are at the Bucharest Academy of Science for a presentation.
  • On stage, the doctor reveals his experiment on the reanimation of dead tissue.
  • The audience laughs.
  • He introduces the creature, who staggers onstage. The audience screams.
  • To demonstrate balance and coordination, the monster walks forwards and backwards. Frankenstein rewards him with a snack.
  • Now for the real show: the lights dim, and when they return, the monster's dressed in a dapper tux and top hat.
  • He and the doctor perform a passable version of a song and dance routine to "Puttin' on the Ritz."
  • It's going well until a stage light explodes, scaring the monster.
  • Frankenstein tries to calm the monster and resume the tap routine, but the audience boos and throws things. They don't like the performance; forget that it's a reanimated monster.
  • The monster throws Dr. Frankenstein to the ground and attacks the audience.
  • They run screaming, and the monster is overpowered by cops who carry him away.
