Culhwch is a hero in the model of Heracles—just one difference: he's Welsh. He embarked on a series of quests with his BFFs, King Arthur and his knights, in order to win the hand of a fair maiden, Olwen. His wifey is the love of his life, but Culhwch also adores heading out on the open road to beat up a monster or two. From hunting down boars to rescuing a princess, Culhwch has done it all.

King Cilydd son of Celydonn and Goleuddydd (who died when I was born). I've got a mean stepmom, though.
Just a stepsister. My stepmother wanted me to marry her own daughter by her first marriage. I said no, which ticked off the stepmonster.

Some of my BFFs were from the court of my cousin King Arthur. They included Sirs Kay, Bedivere, and Gawain, and they helped me on my quest to win Olwen. My other pals that helped me out are Cynddylig, who kept me from getting lost, and Gwrhyr, who knows every language Rosetta Stone offers a course on.
The giant Ysbaddaden, who kept me from Olwen; his daughter; and my stepmother who cursed me
In love with Olwen
Just Olwen. Thanks to my stepmother's curse, she's the only woman I'll ever love.
